grote_smurf Wintergrimm (vocals, guitar) and Hiverfroid (drums) from the band Drengskapur compose absolute top quality melodic black metal; they can easily compare themselves with much bigger acts like Emperor, Dissection (rip) and Satyricon (during the Nemesis Divina era). Some passages make me think of Satyricon's Immortality Passion. Not one bad song detected on the album. 10/10 Favorite track: Irrwisch.

Dave Aftandilian Moody, misty, menacing evocations of the hungry swamp. I wandered into this godsforsaken place following ghostly lights dancing. Now the morass sucks my legs down deeper with each step I take; my screaming lungs burn black, stinging insects cloud my head with woe, and I fear I shall soon join my brothers: sunk to the bottom of the bog, my skin turned to leather, my soul trapped forever, another tiny light flickering to lure the unwary.

H.L. "Was der Morast verschlang" comes wild, melodic and nature-inspired out of misty swamps. Sharp guitars and epic songwriting are two other trademarks of the album. And even though there are no significant synthetic layers, nature soundscapes, clean singing or other melodic softeners, DRENGSKAPUR are able create a dense atmosphere. This is real black metal art! Favorite track: Im Morast.
David Fischer

David Fischer Really solid compositions, absolutely beautiful at times, but a bit lengthy. If the cover song would have been put like in the middle, it would have been a nice fit. Geistersang is an amazing outro tho. Favorite track: Geistersang.
